I happened to be researching a few items relating to “claims” of the Pittsburgh killings of 3 officers and injuring of two more. One odd note from the shooters best friend:
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
| According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Richard Poplawski was “convinced the nation was secretly controlled by a cabal that would eradicate freedom of speech, take away his guns and use the military to enslave the citizenry. ¦ He appeared to share a belief that the government was controlled from unseen forces, that troops were being shipped home from the Mideast to police the citizenry here, and that Jews secretly ran the country. |
Unreal to read, but I’m sure that part of this pertains to the 1st Amendment, the other being the 2nd Amendment. What’s interesting about this and how it relates to Arizona is that in February, the AZ senate passed a bill declaring it’s sovereignty :
| A concurrent RESOLUTION claiming sovereignty under the tenth amendment to the constitution of the united states over certain powers, serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates and providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed. Read more … And it goes on to say “HCR 2024 stipulates that the state of Arizona is hereby claiming sovereignty under the 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution. |
Of importance to this information:
“The Tenth Amendment was intended to confirm the understanding of the people at the time the Constitution was adopted, that powers not granted to the United States were reserved to the States or to the people. It added nothing to the instrument as originally ratified.” — United States v. Sprague, 282 U.S. 716, 733 (1931).
