Time machine back to 1989. You see this movie with two dudes who are either idiots or are stoners, or both, who says one of the most epic phrases in cinematic history:
That line has long impacted my life, given it some sort of meaning over the long haul because of the simplicity of it. Is it so hard to be the best version of you that you can be?
The concept of BETE – Be Excellent To Each Other, is incredibly impactful to me. Enough so that while I was writing “New Direction“, my first thought was:
courteous > respect > restraint = real power
On top of that, in my past life of writing the “The Code“, I had three (3) very specific instances where I could feel the impact of the idea, BETE – Be Excellent To Each Other, in my ideas.
Now, this isn’t a post to highlight what I have written (kinda maybe), but to honor the idea of BETE – Be Excellent To Each Other. It is to underscore how important it is.
