Do I Want To Know? The story told here is so epic that it touches everyone. Everyone who has ever wanted to know if someone they were interested in reciprocates that.
I don’t know that I want to spend a week and a day on this one, but I’ve been aware of and heard some of Artic Monkeys’ songs. Specifically this one.
There was this gal at an office where I worked a few years back who introduced me to this song one day. She was moderately flirty but was involved, IIRC.
And I wondered if she was just an attention whore or was truly interested. And at that time, this song was fresh in my mind. And every time I was around her, I’d hear it.

A few years later, I found myself in a similar situation. It was a different gal, a different vibe. She was rather goth which I found to be super hot, on her.
And once again, she was a coworker who also was involved in a relationship. And every time that I interacted with her I could hear it rattling around in my head again.

And now, in this day and age, I find it to be a similar situation. But this time, I’d talk with her while we were both drinking. But not overly flirty because of the environment.
Professional environments where people are remote from one another make this much more difficult. But in this case, more and more of the song is more and more real.
And the other night, I had that dream. You know the one. The one where you wake up and try so hard to get back to the dream because of how surreal it was.
But, in this case, I believe that this person is interested and I believe that she wants to know. But that’s the delusion of infatuation. I can feel that way all I want…
