Ugg, another music-related post!… I promise, there’s more to this than that. Maybe.But no music.
It’s funny, today, I was talking to a friend, and I mentioned Praxis in the conversation. I stopped. I felt my hindbrain engage, thwacking me. Umm hello?
Why? Uhh… cause I know the meaning of the term, and I am familiar, a fan if you will, of the band. Yup. The band.
That is correct. You read that right. I am a fan of Praxis, the band, and praxis the word.
But kastle, why? Be more specific? Ok, well, let me start way, way back. Let’s take the Wayback Machine to 1995. Yup, the Wayback goes that way back.
I was working at a tech shop that did computer integration. Essentially, I put together computers for a huge shop—hundreds and thousands of systems for other companies.
It was great. It was a step up from leaving New York, going from ancient tech to the new (at that time) tech. I was learning so much; it was unreal.
And then, I met a coworker who was a fucking fantastic human. Got fucked over by his POS now ex-wife and got fucked over by his best friend. Cause they were fucking.
Gutter trash those two were. But, it was through that shit show that I have introduced to the musical stylings of the band Praxis. And what a fucking mind fuck.
So there you go… No music.
